Tattly: who says forever is better?

I first heard of Tattly at TYPO SF earlier this year in April since Tina Roth Eisenberg (owner of the design blog Swiss Miss) was one of the TYPO speakers.

I’ve had a few Tattly designs sitting around at home, including the Type Nerd and You’re Late temporary tattoos just to name a few.

Amy Peppler Adams of Penny Candy Handmade reminded me of Tattly when she mentioned it in her blog yesterday. Then I remembered I had a small version of the Color Burst at work that had been sitting on my desk for a few months. I never thought I’d apply the Color Burst, but I finally did last night before attending SF Design Week’s closing party at Arkitektura In-Situ. I quite like it!

So, I caved and got a Tattly subscription. Kind of excited. I’ve never been a fan of tattoos (on myself) and never given a second thought to it since I know it’s not for me, but since these aren’t permanent and some of them are quite nerdy, I’m completely ok with that!

I’ve only had this small pinwheel of death on my inner left arm for less than a day now, but I’m already attached to it. However, I’m pretty sure I’d get sick of it after a while. So, no, I wouldn’t get a permanent color wheel there.
