Last Monday, I talked about the process of layering for texture and shading with the Melonpan Donut.
I liked having a GIF of the donut buildup, so decided to make another one for the Ube Cruller that I drew for this past Flavor Friday.
This one didn’t have as many layers as the Melonpan Donut, but still required more work than a normal donut sketch because of its shape.
I’ve never drawing a cruller before, so this was my first time attempting the sucker.
This one took more thought than the Melonpan Donut since I had to think harder about the shading.
I’m not 100% satisfied with the outcome, but I also didn’t spend as much time on this as I wanted. I may have to come back to this one and do touch-ups or something.
But I do want to draw another cruller. Need to practice all my donut types!
Happy Monday, everyone!
